Background Check and Concussion Protocols

Background Checks
If your team has youth (anyone under the age of 18) you must complete a background check and you must designate an alternate coach to complete one as well. If you do not, your team will not be allowed to play if the youth(s) are present and a coach that has undergone a background check is not. Background checks must be performed annually.  The cost will be approximately $37.00.

To complete the background check, please click here to be re-directed to the company we have contracted to conduct our background checks. NOTE: By clicking the link you are allowing MCCSA and Protect Youth Sports to use the information gathered to conduct the background check.

MCCSA values your privacy and any and all information gathered from the background checks or provided to conduct the background checks will not be sold, given or used in any way other than for the sole purpose of conducting the background check. MCCSA uses a third party vendor, Protect Youth Sports (through Verity) to conduct these background checks.

Youth Concussion Protocols
If a suspected head injury occurs to any player under the age of 18, the impacted player must be pulled from the game and an incident report must be filed within 24 hours (see below) by the coach/manager. That player cannot return until cleared by a doctor. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in the removal of the coach/manager from a leadership position.
